Manatee Lanes was a 2nd generation bowling center in Crystal River, Florida with a desire to transform their venue into a hybrid FEC by adding in a redemption arcade, laser tag and other attractions. After owner and operator, Lars Langlo, attended a bowling proprietors convention in early 2017, he started planning for a new arcade and searched for a distributor.

After inquiring about Player One Amusement Group, Lars was met with Bill, an Account Executive for P1AG, to see the location and discuss Manatee Lanes’ vision and goals for their new bowling entertainment center.

Bill made an appointment that same week to come out, meet me and see my location and talk about the process of setting up a new redemption arcade in my bowling center. He and the P1AG team took my rough thoughts and ideas for remodeling my old coin-op arcade and strategically planned out every square foot of the space. He detailed each piece he wished to put into each place and why. He showed me historical data on how well the machines earned and why they needed to be placed where they were.

P1AG worked alongside Manatee Lanes to consult and develop a multiphase implementation strategy, starting with the redemption arcade that involved a seamless partnership with Intercard and BMI on the coinless playcard system and merchandise for prizing.

During the game room install, the P1AG team provided Manatee Lanes staff with hands-on training on some common issues that they may see during day-to-day operations. “Glen is a wealth of information regarding all things related to the games and a true professional who takes pride in the detail of his work. Glen had many custom 'tweaks' that he made on the machines to ensure smooth operation and ease of testing or replacement of any necessary parts. I really enjoyed working with Glen, Bill and the entire Player One group of guys.”

Phase 1 of the Bowling Entertainment Center conversion was completed, and the 30-lane facility is now equipped with 22 of the latest interactive games, coinless playcard technology, and a full redemption center. Phase 2 will see the addition of two party rooms, expansion of the redemption arcade, and the removal of some of the bowling lanes to make room for laser tag.
